Today's Thought

"Neither Satan nor any other power can weaken or destroy your growing character. Only you could do that through disobedience. That is why Satan is so intently focused on tempting you to make decisions that will undermine your character. Satan is an accomplished master at making devastating choices appear attractive, even reasonable. So be careful. At this critical time of life you will be faced with many choices. The decisions you will make will profoundly affect life now and for eternity. Make them wisely and prayerfully."

Reflecting

As I reflect back a few years ago when I was doing really good on my old blog,
I had many friends.
They were an addition to why my life was full!
Yes, I blog for my family and journal our life but I don't believe that ANYONE can say that they have not enjoyed and cherished the friends they have made through blogging.

There have been many, many friends I have made and reacquainted with through my blog and theirs.
Some that I haven't even met in person yet but anxiously await that day.
And honestly....I miss them!
Since changing over to our new blog I lost many of them.

Then...I joined Face book..
and many of you have also.

A good idea for me and
NOT a good idea.

It was fun to "add" friends, get reacquainted and then eventually "unadd" friends (unfriend is such a harsh word).

With only a few more "friends" to unadd I think I will feel better about bearing my soul when needed and not worry about being judged by friends that are really NOT my friends. Or unadd the people that I really don't think that they are interested in my life but are too afraid to unadd me?

With that said.
I still miss my blogging friends.
I miss the time that I blogged and would read back and see what and when things happened in our family.
My Blog books are getting thinner and thinner.

I somehow need to get that desire and feeling back.
Back to the days when people feared me toting a camera because they would know where their pictures would end up.
Back to the days when people knew when I had a camera that they would probably get embarrassing nice things written about them and posted for all to see.

So I have revamped a song for you:
(Sung to the tune of You've Lost that Loving Feeling)

I never write a note anymore
to post on my blog.
And there's no story there like before
when I used to blog.
I'm trying hard not to show it, blog friends
But blog friends and family, I know it

I've lost that loving feeling
Oh, that loving feeling
I've lost that loving feeling
Now it's gone, gone, gone

Whoa, whoa, whoa

Now there's no pictures here on my blog
to embarrass you.
And there's no pictures here on my blog
about the things we do.
I failed to leave a great leg-a-cy
For family, to show that we're crazy.

I've lost that loving feeling
Oh, that loving feeling
I've lost that loving feeling
Now it's gone, gone, gone

Whoa, whoa, whoa

Family, friends
I sit down at my desk for you
If you would only love me like you used to do
I had a love
A post, a tale you don't find every day
So don't, don't, don't give up to-day

Bring back that loving feeling
Oh, that loving feeling
Bring back that loving feeling
And I'll post, post, post

Yeah, yeah, yeah

I have never seen a blog song before. Uh-mazingly creative.

I feel the same way about blog friends. That's the ONLY thing keeping me from going private.
If I do.. no more NEW friends.

But.. we;ll see what the future holds....

I miss your blog too! With the creative talent that you possess, you have an obligation to your friends to blog. So, get with it, sister!
