Today's Thought

"Neither Satan nor any other power can weaken or destroy your growing character. Only you could do that through disobedience. That is why Satan is so intently focused on tempting you to make decisions that will undermine your character. Satan is an accomplished master at making devastating choices appear attractive, even reasonable. So be careful. At this critical time of life you will be faced with many choices. The decisions you will make will profoundly affect life now and for eternity. Make them wisely and prayerfully."

New kitchen floor

In August of this year we got a new kitchen floor and in the entry way of the house.
The old icky carpet was supposed to have been tore out and replaced by time we got back from helping Chelsea and the family move to Idaho.

Before we left we had to take out EVERYTHING in the kitchen.

It was divvied up between the
front room,
the office/bedroom
and grandma's room (called that because I have grandma's furniture).
It was
A
MESS
everywhere for weeks!!

The table.
The fridge. (It went to Idaho with Chelsea)
The two big wall cabinets.
The stove.
The dishwasher.
The washer and dryer.
The water heater.

Thus for a couple of days before we left for Idaho, we were showering in the trailer.

When we returned it
WAS
NOT
DONE!!

Also before we left the water heater in the trailer wasn't working soooo....

We had to come home earlier than we wanted to fix that.

Then it was another week PLUS before we finally got the floor done and everything moved back in.

What a mess and stressful time.

Reason for delay?
Product didn't come in when expected,
then some changes needed to be made.

Finally!!
Floorboard not up yet.

Big white cabinets to the left are not back in yet.

You can see a small view of the entry way on your left.

I don't know what I did with all the pictures of the finished project,
but I am loving my new floor.

Especially when my first spill happened just the other day.

LOVE my new floor!!!!!

Writers Block

Why is it when I am going throughout my day I can think of all the things I want to say but when I finally log on to blog, I don't know what or HOW to say things.

I am so behind in recording our lives that I have missed out on a lot. I've come to realize years ago that even the little insignificant things in your daily lives REALLY matter. I enjoy going back and reading the journal entries that I have printed off in a book.

I need to figure out how I can get back in to the habit of posting.
