Today's Thought

"Neither Satan nor any other power can weaken or destroy your growing character. Only you could do that through disobedience. That is why Satan is so intently focused on tempting you to make decisions that will undermine your character. Satan is an accomplished master at making devastating choices appear attractive, even reasonable. So be careful. At this critical time of life you will be faced with many choices. The decisions you will make will profoundly affect life now and for eternity. Make them wisely and prayerfully."

Racquetball and Clown Shoes

Since December daddy and I haven't been running. Doran has a hitch in his get-along that he was hoping would heal. It doesn't really hurt when he is active but it is almost unbearable for him when he sits for long periods of time. Well even short periods of time.

Anyway so we have laid off the running. However over the Christmas break we started playing racquetball a couple of times a week. We haven't played for years and therefore our skills are lacking but we are getting better. I even got to teach Chelsea and her friend, Kiersha how to play and was able to play with them a couple of times.

Daddy and I had Family Home Evening at the gym last night. We once again played racquetball. I don't know what happened, what we ate or whatever but our games were hideous. I haven't laughed that much playing ball for a LONG time.

I lost count on how many times I hit Doran, in the head, the back, the fanny, and in between my concern for him I was busting out laughing. Tears, I tell ya! He is such a good sport.

He wasn't doing much better and once made the comment that we looked like we were playing with clown shoes on. Well that got me going again. I even went to make a spectacular hit and landed on my back. Yes, I hit the ball, no it didn't make it to the wall.

Well it is a good thing that people weren't watching us play, however I think a few people did witness my "spectacular" hit.

Next time we will take our COURT shoes!

That's pretty funny. Nothing like a good belly roll laugh that brings tears to your eyes.
That is super cool that you two find these athletic hobbies to do together.

Who can play racquet ball when you're trying to see through tears of laughter? I haven't been running much since before Christmas. Too dang cold!
