Today's Thought

"Neither Satan nor any other power can weaken or destroy your growing character. Only you could do that through disobedience. That is why Satan is so intently focused on tempting you to make decisions that will undermine your character. Satan is an accomplished master at making devastating choices appear attractive, even reasonable. So be careful. At this critical time of life you will be faced with many choices. The decisions you will make will profoundly affect life now and for eternity. Make them wisely and prayerfully."

Food Storage Friday

Tuesday, on my birthday, I went to Relief Society meeting. I was a half hour late due to working late but I made it. The topic was on preparedness. How many times do we need to hear this? Well tons and tons until we "get it". The same thing with the Gospel principles....we will continue to hear the "basics" until we are ready for more.

Well I LOVE to hear about Food Storage. The great ideas, the plans, the goals...and then I go home overloaded, cross my eyes and do nothing.

I was so good with food storage when my kids were puppies and have just let things go since they moved out. I get some things sporadically but there is no system in my doing.

Several year ago I found and remade "The Plan". I made copies to use in our old ward.
Chelsea also received a "Five dollars a week" plan from her old ward.
Well I thought I would share both plans with you on a weekly basis. OR you can just buy TWO of a product when you run out and slowly build to your storage. You can do what ever you want with the information. Note that the "Five dollars a week" will have you spend maybe less than $5 one week and maybe more another week but it is close to $5.

I am sure there are other wonderful ideas that you are doing or that you know about but this was an easy 'premade' plan that I have right now and can work with.

GOOD LUCK! Let's start building our Peace of Mind.

THE PLAN
JANUARY - Week 1
Popcorn: Invest in a hot air popper if you don't have one. I personally think that investing in one that goes on a wood/camp chef stove might be better. Who knows if you will have electricity.
