Today's Thought

"Neither Satan nor any other power can weaken or destroy your growing character. Only you could do that through disobedience. That is why Satan is so intently focused on tempting you to make decisions that will undermine your character. Satan is an accomplished master at making devastating choices appear attractive, even reasonable. So be careful. At this critical time of life you will be faced with many choices. The decisions you will make will profoundly affect life now and for eternity. Make them wisely and prayerfully."

1st Solo PDAY

Monday, June 5 was our first Solo Pday since the girls started coming. Our district now takes turns taking Pday, so that there are always enough missionaries on course during the day. Some days I think we are a bit short of missionaries but if there are enough leaders/campers, then we are able to get their help with the responsibilities to run all the girls through.

So we went on about a 3 mile hike, which included hiking around Legacy Lake. In the morning announcements they said that a new baby moose was born Monday morning, but we didn't see them. We did see the new baby geese that were born that morning as well.

This is a new bridge that the Grounds Maintenance built a few weeks ago.

Beautiful hike and a beautiful day!

April 21 & 22, Friday & Saturday

Friday, we did more indoor training. During the morning devotional, Sister DeGroot mentioned that she had some necklaces made to give out to some of the girls last year. These were for those who went the extra mile or accomplished something that was really hard for them. Each sister received one today (on Friday).

We got to go a little earlier, so we went back to the trailer, picked up our laundry and headed for home.
We went straight to Logan to get a few things at Costco and some shoes at Al's Sporting Goods.
When we got home we threw some laundry in and I was going to soak in a hot tub but I ended up sitting on the couch and tipping over at 8pm. I was out until dad asked what clothes go in the dryer and which ones hang up. We changed the laundry and went to bed.

We slept for almost TEN hours!!

Saturday morning, I had a hair appointment and dad finished the laundry and gathered a few more things that we needed.
We stopped to get a hug from my parents and from Chelsea's family.
Then we went to Wally, bought the "Marbles" game from Stan Nielsen in Willard, stopped at Smith & Edwards and headed back to Heber.

I really had a hard time going back to Heber.
I have been SOOO tired and the 1 hour exercise we have been doing in the mornings with our zone is NOT getting any easier.

Sometimes I wonder what I have gotten myself into. Then I remember that the blessings will come and that ALL the missionaries just LOVE it up there!!
