Last Thursday, January 31, we celebrated January birthdays (mine 4th, Jordan 23, my mom's 29th). My brother and his family came down from Idaho and we met them at Maddox. (Insert any picture of your imagination here)
Doran had last Friday off so I left early from work. I can't STAND to be at work when he is off. I hope we can retire the same time.
We did a few errands, made some major changes in our finances then headed to get Doran's hair cut. The older he gets, the shorter his hair gets. What ever happened to my long haired hippie? Then I tell him that I am going to get my hair cut short and he starts giving me the look.
We enjoyed a yummy dinner at Mimi's and headed to the home front.
Saturday morning was a glorious day!
I received a new "Lion House" rolls recipe so I began the process first thing and thought that the dough could rise while we went running. (Because I wasn't going to go very far.)
We began with a run (my first since last November).
It was such a nice day we ran outside.
Doran and Dawn kept me going and we were able to finish 4 miles. It took me 44 min but I was only expecting to make it a couple of blocks. They are so good to wait for me.
Then when we got home I rolled out the dough and put the rolls on a pan to raise. We hurried and changed clothes and went to play racquetball. The rolls could raise while we were gone.
We enjoyed the sport until someone got hurt (me). Actually after Doran smacked me a good one in the back. I had to wait for a few minutes to catch my breath, stop crying, let the sting wear off a bit and then we continued to play. I earned a welt that turned into a bruise. I would put a picture on here but you didn't even like my toe pictures so I am definitely NOT going to show you my fat back.
Put the rolls in the oven when we got home and they turned out great!
So I hurried and made another batch.
I started some chicken and broth cooking for Family Dinner in a couple of hours.
Cortney showed up and then Doran and Cortney built the homemade noodles for the soup.
DEElish!
While we waited to eat Aunt Cortney made Bananie be a SHEra and do a balancing act.
We also celebrated Ben's birthday that will be in a couple of weeks.
It's a good thing there were only three candles on the cake because Ryan wasn't much help with blowing out the candles.
Sunday meetings were EXCELLENT!
What a great weekend!!!

In My family, we have a ton of birthdays in September, so we used to celebrate them all with One gigantic Par-tay
Oh just you wait until Daddy starts wanting the buzzer on his head. Mark could do that for him. Then you don't have to go to the barbershop. You just do it at home.
4 miles in 44 minutes is pure awesomesauce!
