Today's Thought

"Neither Satan nor any other power can weaken or destroy your growing character. Only you could do that through disobedience. That is why Satan is so intently focused on tempting you to make decisions that will undermine your character. Satan is an accomplished master at making devastating choices appear attractive, even reasonable. So be careful. At this critical time of life you will be faced with many choices. The decisions you will make will profoundly affect life now and for eternity. Make them wisely and prayerfully."

31 DBC - Day 5 - 10 favorite songs right now

This was a tough post.
As you have read in my recent posts I usually sit in silence because if I have the radio on it has to be up loud so I can hear it. I can't turn it up loud at work and I usually listen to books on Cd's while driving.

I like most types of music but I am not very good about remembering titles and the ones that are familiar I can't remember all the words.

The first four songs I like to sing to the grand kids especially when they get restless. They will actually just sit on my lap or lay down and listen until they settle down or fall asleep. If I stop singing Brother, our grandson, usually starts crying. That's better than when I am in the car and start singing then have someone turn the radio up so loud it drowns me out. I get the hint...don't quit my day job.
These are probably the only songs that I know all of the words to.

1. I'll Walk with You
2. Teach Me To Walk in the Light
3. A Child's Prayer
4. I am a Child of God

This is a favorite that the kids like grandpa to sing. He really didn't want to do this and put it up here where everyone could see what a goon he is (his words) but he did it because he loves me, and the grand kids LOVE it when he does this. I think he is a good sport! Now if we can get their videos on here too.
5. Two Little Indians

This next one is my favorite church songs.
6. As Sister's In Zion - It talks about how we all can work together as women. The video I linked is the Young Women but I love this arrangement.

I am not much into hard rock or opera but I do love Les Miserables.
I have a bunch of songs on my running ipod with the following artists and more.

7. Alison Krauss - yes I run to slow songs too. They help me NOT think about the running pain.
8. Jackson Browne - His songs take me back to when Doran and I met. Great and tender memories.
9. Creedence Clearwater Revival
10. Eagles

Like I said I really don't know songs. I know if I hear one I can say "Oh, I like that" or "uh turn the channel please."

The End
