Today's Thought

"Neither Satan nor any other power can weaken or destroy your growing character. Only you could do that through disobedience. That is why Satan is so intently focused on tempting you to make decisions that will undermine your character. Satan is an accomplished master at making devastating choices appear attractive, even reasonable. So be careful. At this critical time of life you will be faced with many choices. The decisions you will make will profoundly affect life now and for eternity. Make them wisely and prayerfully."

Bubble Wrap

I've made a decision.

I will soon invest in some bubble wrap. I'm talking about a HUGE amount. Enough to wear all over my body each day. No Cortney, you can NOT pop it as long as it is on momma.

Since last September I have been on the injured list. A WHOLE year!!! It has been awful! And I am NOT a patient person. Just about a month ago I was starting to feel pretty good that I could start running again. I ended up running the Peach Days race on Sept 10. (that I need to post about, I am SOOO behind) I ran it with Cortney. It was her first 10k and a hard route at that. By the way, she did a great job.

Anyway, then I went to play church volleyball the Saturday after and um....well ya see....I went up for a good hit and came down on someones foot and twisted mine. The wonderful sisters made me sit on the floor (I couldn't stand up anyway) and iced my foot right there. They cleaned up around me. After my ten minute time out they helped me hop out to the car. I drove home with my left foot. No problem with this because I have been practicing since last September remember? Anyway after Doran helped me with an awkward shower we went to the Dr., got an x-ray and the Dr. said...."No more monkeys jumping on the court."

Back on the injured list. sigh....I REFUSE to be knocked down again so I am talking my foot in to feeling better each day. So far it is working. No boot (it hurts in that big thing), no crutches (they are just too hard to carry anything), two things that my doctor advises to use, just until I can walk on it. Well I am telling my foot to get her big girl panties on and GET BETTER!

I believe that there is always good in any situation.
This one is...the new x-ray showed that the heel spur I have been working out is gone!
And..this new owie is on the same foot that has been hurt.
See! TWO positives.

That's my story for today.

Wow! That is no bueno!

I'm sorry you are laid up again. You are my hero for even doing something to deserve heel spurs.

Ya, bubble wrap. I was ready to invest in it last year during the winter. I fell so many times.

Just when you think you're invincible, you have to go play church volleyball!

I'm so sorry about your foot.
Hope the Bubble Wrap helps in the future!

Heal mama, heal mama, heal mama. I'll keep positive thoughts flowing on my end in hopes you'll be healthy and up and at it soon!

I want to know how you got your heel spurs to go away!

(Sorry you're still on the injured reserve list)

Ouch! Sorry about your foot!

I went running for the first time a couple weeks ago, and totally buffed it, like, flat on my back. It was awesome if I do say so myself.

Anyway, I hope you continue to mend!
