Today's Thought

"Neither Satan nor any other power can weaken or destroy your growing character. Only you could do that through disobedience. That is why Satan is so intently focused on tempting you to make decisions that will undermine your character. Satan is an accomplished master at making devastating choices appear attractive, even reasonable. So be careful. At this critical time of life you will be faced with many choices. The decisions you will make will profoundly affect life now and for eternity. Make them wisely and prayerfully."

Sad News is in the AIR....or on the road

I went to therapy yesterday....and the prognosis? I have been officially grounded from running the Utah Valley Half Marathon in June.

I am NOT a happy camper! Especially when I talk to the friends that I planned on running with!!! They have been training and working so hard and I have been sitting and icing. One minute I think...".I'm just going to go ahead and try it." And then the next minute, "Be a good girl and heal first."

I know I am NOT going to be happy just being a photographer and cheerleader. I will be kicking myself the whole time! I will be standing at the finish line BY MYSELF watching my best friend and all my friends run in. (I will be calm, I will be calm)

Can I still wear my shirt and number and cheer? Then see the results that say DNR. (did not run) Oh THAT is going to look lovely! Maybe I can get someone to run in my place. A really FAST runner! Then my score will look awesome!!

K off my soap box and on to other good news!!! Can't you wait to hear what it is?

Sniff....sniff.... I'm so sad :( You don't have to be by yourself. Mark better be there or he's in big trouble!

I'm on pins and needles waiting to hear what the good news is!!

I have a 5K this Saturday. I don't really enjoy the race until after it's over! I think I'd be jumping for joy if I had an excuse NOT to run a half marathon but then that's me. Sorry you have to deal with an injury. Heal first then hit the road running. Can't wait to hear your good news.
