Our Buggy has a name

 First day of church on the mountain we rode our buggy and it has a name!

Think before you act.

After our course gets set up, then the ropes and zip line is tested. Someone will go down by the ladder and hook up their harness to the zip line and hang to see if it is still in good shape. Well Elder Shelley and I walked down with Elder Ellis while he tested it. HOWEVER, he just climbed the ladder and grabbed the zip line and hung on it. Weeellll, I wanted to try that as well. Back in my mind I am thinking, Jody, you know you can't hold your body weight like strong Elder Ellis did. But I was foolish enough to try anyway. I told Elder Shelley to be ready to catch me. Well it didn't take long. As soon as I grabbed the zip line and stepped away from the ladder, I was going down. Problem was, Elder Shelley wasn't close enough and fast enough and I slipped off the zip line but got tangled up in the carabiner on my way down. I felt most of my fingers crack and also gouged up my pinky.

What did I learn from this besides already knowing I am not strong enough to do it?

THINK before I ACT!!!

I need to be a little lot more humble.

Buggy Ride and Zone Devotional

Our next Zone buggy ride and devotional...

We celebrated birthdays and half birthdays.

Elder Shelley got some cookies.

We got home just in time for the hail. We sat in our buggy for a few minutes while we waited for a break.

Brookelin's certificate & Pday

May 24 we headed home for our Pday on Thursday the 25th, after our assignments on our course. We made it home just in time to go see Cookie get an award at the High School.

Chelsea has been watering the plants while we were gone, and the plants seem to like us gone because they are just flourishing. Either that or she waters them better.

When we got back to camp, we had our Challenge Course (CC) District Leader make us another sign for our trailer so we could put the other one on our buggy.

For Mother's Day, all the Sister missionaries got a necklace. The 2nd year got one style and the 1st years got this one.

 

Temple Square Sister Missionaries

 Wednesday, we worked on Tomahawk 2 and the Sisters from Temple Square were able to come and spend the day at camp. They were so fun and full of energy and beautiful spirits.

These sisters were from all over the world.

They ended by singing "Called to Serve", and they added one more verse of their own.

CC3 Lower courses test run & Tabernacle Tour

 Tuesday morning our District tested out all the lower courses on CC3, so we would know how to train the facilitators.

I didn't get pictures of the Spider Web, Shark Island, Opposites or Blind Tag.

We actually had a lot of fun doing this and had some spiritual moments as well.

Later that afternoon, our Zone went down to Heber to see the Travelling Tabernacle.

We ended the day with a beautiful sunset.
