July 3 - JPC - Match

Several years ago we were given this neat emergency candle holder.

Since then I have made a few for Christmas presents.

We actually had to use ours last winter when the power went out.

We keep the candles and MATCH inside the jar.

July 2 - JPC - Something beginning with K

My first thought was to get a picture of

KAYLEE

but they were leaving on vacation at 7:00 this morning.

Sorry but I  like my pillow too much.

Then I thought I could run over to Chelsea's and take a picture of the

KIDS.

Totally forgot that was what I was going to do so when I DID go over at lunch I tried to get a picture of a little boy she tends,

KASH. He was not much of a willing participant.

So....

I went home for lunch and started practicing on my new 

KEYS!!

I just got this on Monday.

I am practiced a couple of songs that Ape emailed me

and then spent a couple more minutes cleaning the keys.

I'll never be as good as April. 

You should hear her play!!

She has been such a blessing when it came time to accomplish many of my church activities that I was in charge of!

(I include lots of music)

She is currently teaching Bananie and Cookie,

and me (when I go for a lesson)

 I may never catch up to Bananie either

but...

I will get better than I used to be.

July 1 - JPC - Red + White

My home office is mostly decorated

(if you can call it that)

This cute picture hanger was given to me a couple of years ago for Christmas.

I really need to update my pictures.

Honeymoon

                                                                                                        Marriage is getting to have a sleep over with your best friend, every single night of the week.

You know those horror stories you hear about

newlyweds

that take their

parents

on their honeymoon with them?

How dreadful is THAT?

I can't even imagine that the parents would THINK

that they are invited.

Cut the apron strings or in Dianna's words, the umbilical cord!!

Sheesh MOM'S!

However....When I said

"Let's stop and see Bar J Wranglers on our way to Washington for the other reception. I'm Dad's buying, they immediately said: 

Ok, maaaybe not in those exact words
OR that much enthusiasm 

but...

Uh huh...ya ya. It's my birthday...ok not really

See...it wasn't THAT bad to take us.
They are still smiling.

Wedding bliss....I mean gifts.

Mitch and Cortney were able to get away for a day

then...

they came back and opened wedding gifts before his parents headed back home.

They were so fun to watch and they got a lot to replace my stuff start their new life together with.

 Most of us enjoyed watching them open gifts....

(Is this a guy thing?)
